Coming Soon: A Playground!

I've been working with some fellow neighbors on a great project at a local DC school. Very soon, there will be a new playground that Lily can enjoy on weekends. Needless to say, she has been monitoring the site with great interest!

What are you thankful for?

In case you need some inspiration when coming up with your list, check out Lily and her friend Josie in this video...

Play Date

Annie came over for some playtime with Lily on Friday... they had a blast, and managed to play with just about everything in the play room!

Happy Birthday, Henry

Henry had his second birthday party yesterday! Lily was of course very excited to wish Henry a happy day and eat cupcakes...

Here she is enjoying pizza with the birthday boy

Time for cupcakes... cute little Chloe kept trying to give Lily her cup.

Henry was pretty psyched about Elmo... only mild excitement over the actual cupcake.

In addition to being the birthday boy's Daddy, Matthew makes amazing homebrew. Here we are discussing his beer-making skills. J. has signed on as his newest apprentice!

American History

We checked out the Museum of American History today... it re-opened on Friday after years of renovation.

Lily checking out the map before deciding what to see first... Daddy and Lily...
I got chills and a little misty when I saw this... they had Obama added to the hall of Presidents.

A Day at the Museum

The weather is getting cooler, which means that the weekend is spent less at a playground and more at a museum. We re-visited one of Lily favorites - Natural History - this morning.

Play Day

In our quest to visit as many DC playgrounds as humanly possible, we enjoyed a visit to one of my personal favorites on Saturday... check out the sign to figure out why!

Veterans Day pt 2

We all had the day off on Veterans Day, so we went down to the Mall to walk by the war memorials...

There was a big sign display to congratulate Obama, and it had been signed by thousands of people. We wanted to give Lily a chance to sign.

Lily's "signature" are the marks right above Luck... she wrote very carefully! (See video in blog entry below this one.)
