One Month and Counting...
...until Lily's big one-year milestone! It's unbelievable how fast this year has gone by. We celebrated her 11-month mark yesterday by doing some shopping (she is growing like a weed all of a sudden!) and hanging out at the park. She is also getting her 4 top teeth all at once, so I'm trying to distract her from the discomfort and keep the fussiness to a minimum.

The Other George
Lily started kissing her stuffed animals yesterday while we were playing. She has become really interested in the Curious George that my mom gave her. Check out the video. Lily is napping now, but it hit 80 degrees here today so we'll be heading out this afternoon to enjoy the sunshine!

Sunday....That's my Fun Day
We had a wonderful day today... enjoyed the first warm weather we've had in awhile. Passed by a peace rally on our walk to the Capitol... check out the quilt pics. It's so nice that we can finally enjoy life in DC with a baby. We let Lily out of her stroller for a little while, and she had a blast playing in the grass.

Elephants on Parade....literally!
It's truly a fun day when circus animals walk through the park. The circus has come to town and the animals were on parade en route to the actual site of the show. Lily fell asleep while waiting for the animals, but rallied in time to enjoy the fun! You can also check out the link to Fitz' blog for more photos!
Lazy Sunday
We had a very relaxing day yesterday... Jeremy and I had fun just hanging out with Lily until the Jayhawks played at 5. Lily had a great time with her Uncle Mikey and Aunt Sarah... she kept looking around for them after they headed back home yesterday! Now that our DSL is finally functional, enjoy the video of Lily playing...

T Minus 30 minutes
We're a half-hour away from the first-round game that really matters. Lily just went to bed (after a day of looking adorable in her Jayhawk get-up) and the rest of us are practicing our Rock Chalk Jayhawk chant. More good news -- our DSL is finally working so look for some video in the next few days!

Oh the Madness...
Ah, how I love this time of year!! The first day of the tourney is like Christmas morning... the excitement is almost too much. Luckily, the Cards and Jayhawks didn't both play on the first day; otherwise, Lily would have needed too many clothing changes. We were so excited to see the Fightin' Cards prove all those ESPN nay-sayers wrong. But mainly Miss Lily is excited to hang out with her Uncle Mike and Aunt Sarah who are in town for our annual March Madness Extravaganza. The boys had their first Guinness at 11 am and they haven't slowed down yet :)
Next week we'll have some fun video to upload. Verizon is gunning to pass DeBeer's on my list of the worst companies in the world... our DSL still isn't up and running. Luckily we've got all the games on DirecTV. More updates tomorrow, and of course --Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!

The Irish Celebrate Early...
We had a great day today! Jeremy, Lily and I walked down to the DC St. Patrick's Day parade... now that the weather is warmer, we can take advantage of living in the city and being so close to everything. We were also VERY excited to learn that a jazz club is opening next to the Ethiopian coffee shop that's only two blocks from our new place.
Lily loved the parade, especially seeing the Irish Wolfhounds and she got her first balloon. Jeremy and I enjoyed the fact that she was in such a good mood that we were able to stop at the brewery that's on our walk home to enjoy a beer. And check out the photo of Lily and her daddy in front of our new home... notice the color of the window trim? Jeremy convinced me that this was the house for us by pointing out that the trim is Jayhawk red and blue :)

She Eats!
Lily has finally started to feed herself, after months of only offering her food to Georgie and I. She's so proud of herself that she gets a little annoyed when I tried to feed her! We're getting settled in our new house and feel like we'll be chasing Lily around it very soon...
