I was reminded by our little friend Annie's blog of one of the things Lily learned in school. One morning a while back, I was asking Lily what she thought she would do at school that day... she put her hand on her heart and proceeded to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. It was during a week that J. was out of town, so later that morning we had to get it on video.

Lily's Take on Cox Farms

When we went apple picking last month at our favorite farm, Lily kept asking about the "park with the slides." We went to Cox Farms once last year, and she has not forgotten. We didn't tell her until Noah woke up from his nap that we were going... she started screaming she was so excited!

I picked up a new "toy" to help keep the house clean... after weeks of coveting the one that our friend Emily has. I expected I would be the only one excited about not getting out of heavy-duty one so often, but turns out that Lily LOVES it! As you can tell from the video, she calls it "her vacuum" now.

Soccer

Much to J's delight, Lily joined her friends Caroline and Bridget for her first soccer practice last weekend.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Lily and I started off the morning of J's birthday by making a homemade coffee cake... with a birthday candle, of course!

Game Time

One of Lily's favorite parts of the day is after her little bro goes to bed... we brush teeth, put on jammies and play a game. Her favorites are Hi Ho Cherry-O (a birthday gift from her friend, Annie), Candyland and Curious George's Super Helper, which she is enjoying here :)

Our newest neighbor

Lily has been so excited about babies lately! We went over to see the newest addition to our neighborhood last night... Lily had fun holding baby Reed and playing with his toes. Congrats Briant and Wendy!

First Day of School

Lily started a preschool program at our local school today... we put on her uniform, packed her lunch and were on our way. Hard to believe how big she is!

Before we left, Lily picked up a piece of a playmat off the floor and exclaimed, "This is a 3!" Alright, Schoolhouse Rock... let's save something for the classroom.
