Indoor Fun

Since it was sooo cold today (a high of about 28 degrees - brrrr!), we headed to Wonderscope, a great children's museum about 10 minutes away from Lily's grandparents' house.

There was a great climbing room where Lily had a ball!

Making her way across a bridge...
Down one of the many slides
Checking out her reflection
Peeking out at Daddy from a window in the playhouse

Reading in the book area... what did she grab? Good Night Moon, of course.

Dr. Lily in the medical room...
Admiring the snake in the animal room
Gathering flower pots in the garden room

Big Shoes to Fill

Lily has developed a shoe fetish lately... I think she's picked this up from Josie. Check out her walking around in her Grandpa's shoes.

Piano Girl

Lily has really enjoyed the piano at my parents' house... and today after our Thanksgiving dinner, she had a blast leading all of us in a sing-a-long. Check out the adorable video.

Happy Turkey Day!

Best Husband Ever

J. surprised me with KU basketball tickets last night. Lily's Grandma and Grandpa handled bedtime duty so I could make my first trip to Allen Fieldhouse. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Seventy degrees in November?

That's right... we got to KC on Monday and enjoyed two days of warm weather. (Today, however, it is 30 degrees. Typical for Kansas City.)

Lily LOVES the three playgrounds that are within walking distance from Grandma and Grandpa's house (And J. and I love that they are so close by!)
Three different slides at one playground?! Lily had a blast...

Football Fanatics

Let's face it... we're more than just fans. Lily is getting into the action too. Sadly, today didn't go our way, but we were cheered up after the Chiefs' loss by going to our friends' house to watch the Redskins play.

Some photo highlights...

Lily will sit and watch more of the game with me now... notice the Stat Tracker in the background, so we can keep abreast of our fantasy stats too!

Entertaining Lily during a commercial break...
Mom is smiling, but Lily can sense that Kennison is about to fumble. Can we please NOT use our eldest receiver as a return man?
Lily is worried, and needs to talk over a few concerns with Grandpa.
Lily wants the defense back on the field!

Toy Keeper

On Saturday, Lily got really into the idea that all of Georgie's toys should be kept in the same place.

The future of film-making...

Lily decided she was tired of always being a celluloid star and impulsively jumped behind the camera today. I'd say her first directing attempt may turn some heads at the academy. Eat your heart out Scorsese.

More Photos

This weekend, we hosted a fun brunch for friends that have a new baby.

Like the two Jeremy's (on the right is the proud new papa) need an excuse for beers. Lily was quite the hostess and was eager to play with new friends...

plastic water bottle. This smartwater bottle literally kept her entertained all afternoon. Why do we buy toys?!

Fun at the Park and a New Friend

A few fun photos from this past weekend...
Cheesy grin... Lily loves the slide at the park!
She's getting tall... I fear that one day soon she's going to bump her forehead running around at the park!
Nothing better than a pile of crunchy leaves during fall playtime...
Celebrating baby Eli with Buba and Eva... congrats and welcome to Lily's newest friend!
