Days of the Week

One of my favorite Lily things lately is that she's trying to learn the days of the week. We sing a song about them, but she gets them jumbled up in an oh-so-cute way. Check it out... oh, and be sure to check out the attitude she gives me at the end of the video too. Sigh. The joy of three-year-olds...

Trip to Louisville

We had a great time in Louisville last weekend. Lily had fun playing with her Grandma Lois and Pop. Of course we checked out local playgrounds... here is a great one, right next to the river, with multiple structures shaped like boats.
It was Noah's first trip to the 'ville...
Lily had a blast playing with her cousins Katey and Aurora

Birthday Present from Noah

Noah knows how much Lily loves the rain...

Third Birthday Mini-Bash

Time for Lily's mommy to get caught up on her blog! We have a girly-girl on our hand these days, and when I think back... it all started around her birthday. To celebrate the big 3, Lily asked for a "princess party" with a few of her little girlfriends.

She specifically requested pink frosting on the cupcakes....

Happy Birthday, Lily!

Hard to believe that Lily is THREE years old! As is our family tradition, we let her start off the day with a cupcake for breakfast (like on her first and second birthdays).

J and I spent the day with Lily and then after dinner, she opened a few presents. She screamed, "A Princess Movie!!!" when she opened this one...

She loves the rain, so Noah picked out a rain coat, wellies and umbrella for his big sister.

Getting ready to dig into her Curious George cake

Fun w/ Mikey & Sarah

Lily was so excited for Mike & Sarah's visit! She brought Aunt Sarah to her ballet class... And later that afternoon, we all went to Haines Point to fly kites

Keep trying, Uncle Mikey!!

But there wasn't enough wind, so we blew bubbles instead.

Lily also received some early birthday presents...
... complete with a music-playing card that she LOVES!

New laptop

Noah got a new ride-on train... thanks, M&S!

Happy little photo before Noah's baptism

Nats Game

The upside of the Nats less-than-stellar season is that you can pretty much always get inexpensive seats to a ball game.

Here is Lily on her way in... she insisted on walking through the turnstile and holding her own ticket. Daddy and his happy little Mini-Me
